Difference Between Goldendoodle and Labradoodle
Goldendoodle vs Labradoodle
A Goldendoodle and a Labradoodle are very friendly dogs that are very comfortable with people. Both of these dogs have a poodle trait which makes it hard to make out a difference between the two.
Labradoodle is a breed between a Labrador Retriever and a Poodle. This breed has the color of the Labrador Retriever and curled fur of the Poodle. Goldendoodle is a breed between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle. Goldendoodles have the cream or golden color of the Golden Retriever and the long and curled fur of the Poodle.
While Labradoodles were first bred in Australia, Goldendoodles were bred for the first time in Australia and North America.
Though both the Goldendoodle and Labradoodle have inherited the fur coat of the Poodle, they have differences in their coats. Labradoodles have short coats like that of the Labrador type of coat. They also have a more wiry or curly coat. On the other hand, Goldendoodles have long coat which also are wavy.
When comparing the two breeds, Goldendoodles are known to be mouthier, which means their mouth is always active. So training should be given to Goldendoodle breeds, especially when they are puppies, not to be mouthy. Labradoodles do not have this mouthy characteristic.
Both Goldendoodles and Labradoodles are friendly. However, it has been seen that Goldendoodles are a bit friendlier when they come into contact with anyone immediately. On the other hand, it takes more time for a Labradoodle to get acquainted with anyone. They will first evaluate you before he tucks into your environment. So Goldendoodles are quick in making decisions when compared to Labradoodles.
