Difference Between Wii and Wii Fit
Wii vs Wii Fit
It is probably fair to credit the Wii with changing how gaming has leaped from one generation to the next. It was the first to introduce feasible motion-based gaming that allowed gamers to exert a bit of physical effort while playing video games. It is very easy to differentiate the Wii from the Wii Fit as the Wii is a gaming platform while the Wii Fit is a game package. Basically, what you get with the Wii Fit is a disc that contains the games and the Wii board accessory that connects to the Wii.
The Wii Fit is a cross between a video game and an exercise machine/video; pretty much like how the Wii Sports is for sports. It contains a series of games where the goal is to get your body moving as much as possible and build up a sweat. It also features a way to monitor how you are doing and even to enter information about exercise sessions that were not done on the Wii Fit.
You just can’t buy the Wii Fit package and expect to play it without having a Wii. The Wii is still the focal point of the game, and some of the games even require that you use the Wii remote to play. One example is the jogging game. The controller is kept in your pocket and functions like a pedometer to count how many steps you’ve taken.
The Wii Fit is not necessary in order to play other Wii games. The Wii has a wide variety of other games that make use of the controller either as a motion sensing controller or just as a typical button mashing controller. But in order to play the Wii Fit games, you really need to have the Wii board as most of the games are centered on it. So don’t think that you can bring the game disc to a friend’s house and play it on their Wii without bringing the Wii board along.
Summary:
1.The Wii is a gaming platform while the Wii Fit is a game package.
2.You need the Wii to be able to play the Wii Fit.
3.You can play other games on the Wii without the Wii Fit.
4.The Wii board accessory of the Wii Fit is necessary to play Wii Fit games on the Wii.
