Most of the people get confused when they have to make a choice between Sanita and Dansko clogs as they look almost similar. There has been a lot of misinformation about these two types of footwear that makes it hard to make a choice. It can be said that until 2007, both Sanita and Dansko were one.

A Danish company, Sanita, has been in the field of shoemaking since 1907. Dansko is a company based in the United States which is also in the shoe business.

Dansko was the wholesaler of Sanita clogs for a very long period. They sold Sanita clogs under their name. But their relationship that lasted for more than 18 years ended in 2007 and they parted ways. With this separation, Sanita began to sell their brands directly in the U.S.

Sanita clogs are manufactured in Europe whereas Dansko clogs come from China.

Though the two have parted ways, it is really hard to make out a difference between them. One difference that can be seen between the two shoes is that Dansko comes with a wider heel and wider heel cavity. It also comes with better shock absorption and a soft cavity when compared to the Sanita clogs. So, in a sense, it can be said that Dansko shoes are more comfortable than Sanita shoes.

Another difference is with the patent number 0060240. Sanita shoes come with the patent number stamped on it. But Dansko shoes do not have these patent numbers stamped in their soles.
