Flaxseed oil and fish oil are considered to be good for the health as they both contain Omega-3 fatty acids.

Fish oil contains two types of Omega-3 fatty acids — Eicosapentanoic Acid (EPA) and Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA). On the other hand, Flaxseed contains more Omega fatty acids than fish oil. It contains Omega 3, 9, and 6. It has been seen that Flaxseed oil contains about 7700 milligrams of Omega-3 whereas fish oil contains about 300 milligrams of Omega-3.
Flaxseed oil, which is also called linseed oil, is extracted from flax seeds. On the other hand, fish oil is derived from the tissues of oily fish and also from the liver of some fish.
When comparing the production, fish oil is much more processed than flaxseed oil. It is also seen that fish oil contains more pollutants than flaxseed oil.
In cost, the flaxseed oil is cheaper than fish oil as the purification of the latter one is very expensive.
