Difference Between Rotisserie and Head to Head
Rotisserie vs Head to Head
Football is a game or sport that is played between two teams comprising eleven players. The goal is to score by taking the ball into the opponent’s end zone. It is one of the most popular sports in the world, especially in the United States, and is played by people of all ages.
Aside from high school, college, and professional football, there are many variations of the game such as:
Touch football wherein the game ends when the ball carrier is touched by a defender.
Flag football wherein the ball carrier wears a flag, and if it is taken by a defender, the game ends.
Wrap wherein the game ends when the ball carrier is wrapped in the arms of a defender.
Arena football league which is an eight-man football team and can be played indoors.
Fantasy football which is a virtual football game. It allows players to manage professional football players of the National Football League (NFL).
It has become a very popular Internet game since its invention in 1988 by Gary Chiappetta and
David McNamara. The game allows players to draft, add/drop players, trade, and change rosters. Fantasy football has many different leagues, namely; dynasty league, salary cap league, survivor fantasy league, simulation football, total points league, head to head, and rotisserie.
Head-to-head leagues have different opponents every week, and the team that has more points during the week wins the game. To win the championship, a team must have the most wins, and if there is a tie, the winner is decided by the total points of the teams.
Rotisserie leagues, on the other hand, do not have different opponents every week. Instead, the team’s overall points for the NFL season is accumulated, and whichever team has the most points for the season wins the championship.
In this league, no matter how well your team is doing in each game and you win most of the games in the season, if in some games you have very little points, it could cost you the championship. Head-to-head league games, on the other hand, are played more like a real football game. The weekly change of opponents adds more to the excitement of the game, and it allows players to experience real, professional football. Aside from the NFL leagues, fantasy football now has college leagues as well.
