Difference Between Disneyland and California Adventure
In a fast-moving world, entertainment remains an essential need for all. Although entertainment has evolved, various methods such as visiting parks, hiking, dancing, listening to music and gaming remain the most common activities. This has led to a surge in the development of entertainment venues and facilitators such as tour companies, which eases visitors travel needs. Some of these parks include Disneyland and California Adventure.
What is Disneyland?
Known as the world’s largest and popular theme park, Disneyland has a high attendance rate throughout the year. It was conceptualized and developed by Walt Disney and officially opened on 17th July 1955. It stands on a vast area of 85 acres of land. Among the themes include Adventureland, USA, Main Street, New Orleans Square, Tomorrowland, Mickey’s Toontown, Frontierland and Critter Country. Other attractions available at Disneyland include Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Matterhorn and the Pirates of the Caribbean, among others. It has a night show referred to as Fantasmic.
The magic kingdom offers a full Disney experience, based on Disney stories. It also has restaurants where guests can relax, eat and drink. There are several Disneyland parks.
What is California Adventure?
Opened in 2001, California Adventure is a theme park close to Disneyland, in Anaheim, California. It stands on previous Disneyland parking, covering 72 acres of land. The park has 7 themed lands namely; Grizzly Peak, Buena Vista Street, Pacific Warf, Paradise Pier, Cars Land, A Bug’s Land and Hollywood Land. While the park offers rides for kids as well as adults, more adult rides are offered. Among the park rides include California Screamin’, Mickey’s Fun Wheel, and Grizzly River Run. It has a night show named World of Color Celebrate.

Disneyland occupies an area of 85 acres of land. On the other hand, California adventure occupies an area of 72 acres of land.

Disneyland has a night show named Fantasmic that includes floats, characters, and live music. On the other hand, California adventure has a night show named World of Color featuring Neil Patrick Harris with Mickey surrounding the guests with mist, color, and water.
Restrictions
While Disneyland restricts alcohol in the park, California adventure does not restrict alcohol in the park.
