Difference Between EMBA and MBA

EMBA vs MBA

MBA is Master of Business Administration and EMBA is Executive Master of Business Administration. EMBA is generally for more experienced people, who tend to be older, while MBAs are generally for relatively younger people.

While EMBA is for more experienced people who aim at enhancing their ability, MBA is for persons who want to pursue a degree in business studies and get a better job.

While the Master of Business Administration has a strong emphasis on the content of the various management disciplines, the EMBA focuses more on basic competence.

The EMBA is aimed at professional executives who can’t take on a complete MBA course yet need one to improve their job prospects. The Master of Business Administration is a full time course, while the Executive Master of Business Administration is part time. The duration of a Master of Business Administration is generally two years while the EMBA takes between 18 to 21 months.
