Difference Between Amtrak Coach and Business Class
Amtrak is a corporation that provides passenger rail service in the US. Started in 1971, Amtrak has its headquarters in Washington DC.
Amtrak trains provide three travel levels as like the airlines. They are the coach level, business class and first class. There are a few differences among these three classes.
When comparing the coach class with the business class, the later one has more facilities. In comfort, the business class is more relaxing than the coach class.
Of the three classes, the coach is the least costly. The coach seats are situated on the upper level. The seats have reclining position and have footrests. Though there are washroom facilities, one should have to go to the lower level. The coach class can be divided into reserved coaches and unreserved coaches. The only difference between the reserved and the reserved is that passengers who have booked their tickets in reserved coaches have a guaranteed seat. On other hand, in the unreserved coach, it is first come first serve basis.
When compared to coach class, the business class has more legroom. It has conference tables and tray tables that can be folded down when not in use. This coach also provides reading lights, complimentary beverages and electrical outlets. The business class passengers also get free newspapers.
The seats in business class are also bigger than the seats in a coach class. Moreover, the people who travel in business class are very near to the cafe. The business class seats are positioned in different areas.
