Honda’s Integra has several distinct differences from the older Civic model. First of all, the Integra is a bit larger compared to the Civic. The difference is quite noticeable, especially in terms of height. The Integra stands about 60 mm taller than the older Civic. So, if you are wearing a crash helmet, you will be more comfortable in the Integra!

The body of the Integra is a bit stiffer than the Civic. There is a very slight weight penalty for this kind of toughening, as the Integra packs an extra weight of 72kg. Due to this fact, the power to weight ratio between the Integra and Civic has become more interesting. Even though both cars are fitted with 2-liter i-VTEC engines, the rating of the Integra stands at 217 bhp, while the Civic has 197 bhp. At first glance, the Civic is a faster starting car, and quicker, because it can deliver 0 – 60 mph acceleration at sub-7 seconds. On the other hand, the Integra will not dip below 7 seconds at the same acceleration level. However, the Integra can easily claw back against the Civic, especially at 100 mph with a slight advantage of 16.7 seconds, compared to the 16.9 seconds of the Civic.

The Integra and the Civic share the same wheelbase. However, the Integra is longer by 250 mm in terms of its nose to tail dimension. The Integra is also lower than the Civic by 35 mm.
