The Ipod and Blackberry are modern devices that have different functions. While Blackberry is a communication device, the Ipod is a device that is used for storing, and playing music and videos.
BlackBerry is more like a mobile phone, which connects people. On the other hand, the Ipod is an entertainment device, by which you can listen to music, and also watch videos.
In simple words, blackberry is a mobile phone and the Ipod is an MP3 player. One of the main differences between Blackberry and the Ipod, is that information can be sent from one blackberry to another, and it cannot be sent from one Ipod device to another.
Designed by Apple computers, an Ipod device can store about a hundred to a thousand songs. The Ipod is a device that can play different audio formats, like MP3, M4A, AAC and AIFF. It can also display various picture formats, like JPEG, GIF, BMP and TIFF.
It was in 2001 that the first Ipod was released onto the market. One can also store texts on an Ipod, through an external storage device. The Ipod is also able to upload files onto a PC.
BlackBerry was first released onto the market in 1999. Blackberry was first developed by Research in Motion, of Waterloo, Canada. Once it was marketed, the device became very popular because of its push e-mails. The Blackberry has more features than an ordinary phone. A blackberry can be considered to be a smart phones, as well as a Personal Digital Assistant. Apart from the mobile phone service, Blackberry comes with Internet connectivity, an address book, email facility, day planer, calendar, text messaging and Internet faxing.
