Electric vs Gas Ovens
Some people prefer electric stoves to gas ovens; it is basically a personal preference between the two. Well, both the stoves have its own qualities that make it different.
First of all coming to the price of the electric and gas ovens, the electric range of stoves are cheaper than the gas ovens. For gas stoves, one needs to have separate gas connections, which can be costly. But an electric stove just operates if you have electric connection in the house; no additional charges are required.
When talking of baking and broiling for long hours, the gas ovens are much economical than the electric ones. When comparing the heating and cooling, the gas ovens heat and cool faster than the electric ovens. In heat distribution also, the gas ovens and electric ovens are different. In electric ovens, the heat is distributed in a more even way than the gas ovens. They are superior to the gas ovens in heat distribution.
Another difference that can be seen is with regard to the dry heat. Unlike the gas ovens, the electric ovens are considered to use more of the dry heat. This quality makes the electric gas ovens less sensitive to rust than the gas ovens.
In an electric oven, the heat is produced by the electric elements. But in a gas oven, the gas comes out from the gas jet and when it is lighted it burns. Another notable difference is the burner. When talking of the burners, the electric and the gas ovens have different burners. The electric ovens come with coil burners or smooth top burners.
