Difference Between HGH and Steroids

HGH vs SteroidsDifference Between Steroids and Antibiotics-1

Steroids are synthetic chemical substances that have a big similarity to the male hormone testosterone. Steroids can be prescribed to treat a number of health problems but they are illegal to young children, with or without a prescription. For adults however, they are also illegal without a prescription. Steroids are usually referred to as anabolic, which promote skeletal muscle growth and androgenic, which enhance growth of male sexual characteristics. The chemical substances used in medicine for relieving inflammation are known as corticosteroids.

Human growth hormones are hormones found in the human body and are useful for growth and development. Although many people mistakenly take steroids and HGH to be alike, they are actually a lot different, with the main similarity being that they are both growth hormones.

Anabolic steroids, when taken, can build muscle, enhance performance and even improve appearance. The steroid’s effect enables the body to retain protein, necessary for muscle growth as well as skin and bone. It’s worth remembering that while the effects of steroids are highly tempting, they can have harmful side effects, given steroids have a high abuse rate especially by athletes.

Whereas steroids can have a many undesirable side effects, HGH has almost none at all and even the few can be well tolerated. When used as a supplement, HGH is easily absorbed and doesn’t require being injected, like steroids. This makes HG more appealing since there’s reduced risk of spread of infections through contaminated needles. HGH supplements are also quite cheaper and more affordable than steroids. Unlike steroids, HGH is not addictive therefore there’s no risk of withdrawal problems and cravings. Besides building muscle, HGH is known to be helpful in slowing down the aging process, increases stamina and overall strength.

Steroids when excessively used can cause serious and sometimes irreversible side effects which include, in men, reduced sperm count and this can at times be permanent, impotence, breast development, testicles can alter size, and difficulty while urinating. In women there can be development of facial hair, deepened voice, reduction of breast size and changes in the menstrual cycles. Common side effects that cut across both sexes include acne, weight gain, bloating, stroke and heart attacks, weakened tendons and sleep problems among many other undesirable side effects.

Summary:

1. Whereas some steroids can be used in treating some medical ailments, HGH isn’t for medical use at all.
2. Steroids are addictive whereas HGH are not addictive and can’t be easily abused.
3. Steroids can cause undesirable and irreversible side effects whereas HGH has little or no side effects.
4. HGH is easily absorbed in the body whereas steroids are not easily absorbed into the body.

  1. Lots of great info on HGH, thank you.

  2. Thx so Much

  3. HGH (and the IGF-1 that is a result of its use) is the only substance that can actually initiate hyperplasia. Steroids can cause hypertrophy but steroids DO NOT offer the ability to recruit and mature more muscle cells. HGH can only do this. HGH also increases protein synthesis, which can be responsible for hypertrophy. Check out the Dr. Max Powers HGH Spray – buy online while you still can – its one of those that the govt will ban soon.

  4. This article is so wrong in saying HGH can be taken with no side effects, it causes enlarged organs in adults
