Beyond Beef is a meatless ground beef substitute from the house of Beyond Meat which looks mostly like ground beef with the same reddish hue, texture just like the real ground beef. For the texture, they use potatoes and a plant based fiber derivative, and for the color and taste, they use natural stuffs like beet juice and apple extract. The main source of proteins comes from peas, faba beans and brown rice, and this combination gives you the similar or greater protein value than their animal-based counterparts.

– When it comes to nutritional information, the two probably have almost same amounts of proteins and calories, with less saturated fat and no cholesterol. Also, Beyond Meat contains fiber, but real meat does not contain fiber.
