On the other hand, leggings have a transparent material which means that they should be worn as inner pants to protect their see-through aspect that may expose the body parts of an individual. They do not have a waistband and can easily fall from the body.

Different companies have been rebranding the two garments to form different clothing attires to fit the changing consumer taste and preferences. For example, yoga pant companies have been changing the traditional flare at the bottom by producing other shapes and colors to form yoga leggings.
For leggings, companies are producing different cuts which include bootcut, tight-fitting, Capri, and kundalini among others depending on the consumer taste and preferences. It is common to find a legging with a flexible and opaque material in retail outlets today.
