If you’re using an analog or digital TV that uses NTSC format, then probably not unless you’re using an adapter. Former French Colonial territories use SECAM, like France. The majority of Africa uses PAL or a combination of PAL and SECAM.

North America, parts of South America, parts of Asia like Japan, South Korea, Philippines, and Myanmar (for example) use NTSC.

Most of Western Europe, parts of South America, parts of Africa, parts of Asia (like China), Australia, the Middle East use PAL.

France, parts of Africa, French Guiana (South America,) Eastern Europe, Russia use SECAM.

Obviously, if you use video equipment (VCR, DVD, LaserDisc, video game consoles) that are compatible with NTSC, you can use it with your NTSC tv in Africa, but if you want to watch African broadcasts, you’ll have to leave your TV behind and buy either a PAL or SECAM tv, depending on what country you’re going to.
