Difference Between Cricket and Baseball
Cricket vs. Baseball
Cricket and baseball belong to the same family of bat-and-ball games. In both games, the team scores points that are known as runs by hitting the ball with a bat. And when a team bats, the other team fields the ball by preventing the players of the opposing team from scoring runs. Though they are both bat-and-ball games, they are not the same.
First of all, let us look at the ball used in cricket and baseball. The balls used in both cricket and baseball may look alike, but they have differences in their weight and other features. The weight of a baseball should not be below five ounces and not over five and ¼ ounces. It should also have a circumference of 9 to 9.25 inches. The weight of a cricket ball is usually between 5.5 and 5.75 ounces and has a circumference between 224 and 229 mm.

Now considering the type of bat used, baseball has a round bat whereas the cricket bat is flat. Baseball bats can break often, but cricket bats do not break often.

In cricket, the positions are mid on, mid off, deep leg, fine leg, mid wicket, long leg, silly mid off, silly mid on, square leg, deep mid wicket, gully, deep square leg, point, leg slip, long off, cover, extra cover and long off. But with regard to baseball positions, it is self-explanatory.
