Phentermine is related to Amphetamine. Amphetamine works by increasing the fight/flight system of the body thus increasing the effect of stress hormones in the body. This makes the drug dangerous if taken long term because it causes high blood pressure, palpitations, inability to rest, and insomnia. The FDA or Food and Drug Administration recommends the usage of this drug for not more than 12 weeks. Phentramine has the same side effects as Phentermine. However, Phentermine contains caffeine, a stimulant, which therefore will increase your anxiety level if you possess anxiety disorders.
Phentermine and Phentramine are contraindicated for patients having cardiovascular disease as this may worsen the condition. It also must not be taken by pregnant and lactating women for the fact that it is teratogenic. It is also not indicated for patients having glaucoma, narrowed vessels, and an overactive thyroid.

I know that phentermine and parenting are very similar but I have a lot of weight to lose and I need something now. I know herbal stores sell phenemine but does it work I travel and need it now because I don’t have a red Dr so what is your advice and who will prescribe it if the rx version works better. Please suggest what I should do asap

The previous comment has incorrect info. As clearly stated in the original post, the “real” drug, requiring a doctor’s prescription, is PHENTERMINE 37.5
Pharmacy prices range from about $8.00 – $30.00, depending on insurance and discount coupons like Good RX or Optum perks. (The brand name, Adipex, will cost more than the generic, Phentermine). This drug will help most people lose weight but is not always tolerated well by everyone (headaches, inability to sleep). If you are obese, ask your doctor about it. If he/she refuses to prescribe it, look online for clinics that will.
