Nectar and juice are related to plants. Nectar is a liquid that is produced by plants, and juice is the liquid found naturally in fruits and vegetables.

When nectar is gotten from flowers, juice is gotten from fruits and vegetables.

Nectar is a natural, sugar-rich liquid. Nectar is either produced by flowers or by extra floral nectaries. Though juice is found in fruits and vegetables, it is not naturally available as that of nectar. Juice is prepared by mashing or squeezing fruits and vegetables.

While nectar can be considered the juice for birds, juice can be called the nectar for human beings. When comparing the thickness, nectar is thicker than juice.

Both nectar and juice have many roles to play. While nectar is very helpful for the birds and animals, juice is an important liquid for human beings. Nectar plays an important role in nature. It is nectar that attracts birds and animals which indeed help in pollinating. The nectar from extra floral nectaries acts as a nutrient. Nectar is also considered a good source like honey.

People most often drink juices as they are rich in vitamins and minerals as well as other nutrients. For example, orange juice is known to be rich in Vitamin C, potassium, folic acid and antioxidants. At times when people are very weak, doctors prefer to have them drink juice as it has many health benefits. It is not that people drink nectar as often as juice.

The name ‘nectar’ has been derived from Latin ‘nectar,’ which is considered to be a favourite drink of the gods.
