Difference Between Queen and Full

Queen vs Full

Beds come in various sizes such as king, double, single, queen and full.

Here let us discuss about queen and full beds. When comparing the queen and full beds, they are different in many respects. When looking at the size of these two beds, the queen bed is larger than the full bed. The full bed or double bed comes with a width of 54 inches and a length of 75 inches. On the other hand, the queen bed comes with a width of 60 inches and a length of 80 inches.

When sleeping, the queen bed gives more comfort as it gives wider space. The width per person in a full bed comes to 27 inches where as it is 30 inches per person in full bed.

A tall person will have difficulty sleeping in a full bed whereas there is no difficulty when that person sleeps in a queen bed. Unlike the full bed, the queen bed gives more comfort for two adults.  The queen bed is really comfortable for couples who wriggle in the bed.

The full bed fits comfortably into smaller rooms than the queen beds. The queen beds are good for small master rooms and guest rooms.

In terms of cost also, there is much difference between full bed and queen bed. The queen bed is costlier when compared to full bed. When comparing the sheets, the full bed sheets are comparatively cheaper than the sheets for queen beds.

  1. Why is full bed so small? Only 190cm in length.
I guess one could sleep diagonally cause it has great width.

    • I prefer full or twin. I am short (5’3″). I am not thin. I have plenty of room for me, my very large ginger cat, a couple of piles of books and magazines, a notebook and pen, small bag of hard candy and my Kindle Fire (also a teddy bear)
. I do not move around much, I guess. I am going to be buying a new bed soon, and am thinking of getting a twin (cheaper) and I can put books on a chair or something. I could still use my “full” sheets and blankets that I already have.

  2. The width per person in a full bed comes to 27 inches where as it is 30 inches per person in full bed.

    I guess you meant:
The width per person in a full bed comes to 27 inches where as it is 30 inches per person in QUEEN bed.

  3. The author is named Prabhat? Prabhat?

This is a strange site. Good luck!

  4. Was this copy/pasted? Someone clearly is NOT paid enough to even THINK about editing.. Or you are clearly working your “employees” fat too hard. No way – in NO way – is this a quality “article”

  5. I prefer a Queen bed with a beautirest matress.

  6. Small error in typing. ref’ width per person is stated as for both full bed.

    sincerely RP.
